Rock Chalk Jayhawk!

Here we are tailgating it up at last weeks Jayhawk game. I didn't get a chance this week to post about it (maybe because we played so crappy) but here we were all ready for the big game. Things went surprisingly well for us considering we took all four kiddos, ages five and under, to a 6:00 pm game. I was prepared for the worst and much to my delight things did not go all that bad. Walter was in awe of the entire scene. Once in the stadium his eyes could not have been any bigger and his mouth any more open. All of the commotion kept him nice and occupied. Margaret and Isabella felt the same way but their eyes were mostly looking for the Jayhawk mascot and Baby Jay. They also love watching the cheerleaders, Margaret let me know that she wanted to be a cheerleader there someday. Who knows... maybe so!
Walter found a couple of new friends to tailgate and throw the football around with.
This was Caroline's first Jayhawk/Tailgating experience. She was a trooper and I think that we have a future fan on board. Not that she really has a choice in this family!

We went to the game again this weekend and the outcome was much better, a great win for the Jayhawks. The weather here was gorgeous, tons of sunshine with a hint of fall approaching in the air. Looking forward to seeing those leaves turn and hopefully seeing more Jayhawk victories!
