Spring has Sprung!

Oh how I love to see my brown grass turn a beautiful shade of green and watch as the buds on my trees start to pop into newly born leaves. Man, it was a long winter here but I feel that we are finally on our way to some nice weather that will stick around longer than a day or two.

With the weather turning nicer I have found that we have been so busy with outside activities I have not hardly had time to check email let alone sit and do updates on my blog. With March coming to an end I felt it was a good time to sit and reflect on what we have been up to.

Isabella is loving her last few months in PreK. She has learned so much this year and has made a really good group of friends. She had her graduation pictures today and I still can't believe that she will be in kindergarten next year! She is also doing well with her swimming class. She moved up to the next level, the Sharks, and she is awfully proud to be the youngest member of the class. As you can see by her face she had a little fight with a trampoline. Apparently landing on a spring face first is not a good idea, let's hope that she learned her lesson.

Margaret has mastered riding her bicycle from Santa! Of course it has training wheels but she had a bit of a fear of it at first and I was worried that she wasn't going to overcome it. A couple of nice days and boom it clicked for her and it is one of her favorite outside activities. She is still doing great in swimming and both girls are getting ready for their dance recitals. Margaret will be dancing as a ladybug. At first she didn't want to be a ladybug, she wanted to be Lighting McQueen (her new obsession). Once the costume arrived her eyes lit up and all is well. She is very excited to get out there on stage, just "like the Nutcracker" as she describes it.

This little guy, well he just keeps me on my toes at all times. I swear I am going to have this baby early because of him. He did get himself a new ride this past weekend. He was a little timid at first with it but now says that he is going to mow the lawn on his tractor. This was a GREAT hand-me-down from my cousin whose son had outgrown it. We have a new neighbor boy who is a few months older than Walter so he is very excited to have a little buddy to play with this summer.

Kyle and I are just putting the finishing touches on all of our projects that needed to get done before this baby gets here. I am feeling great, just really ready to hold my baby girl.

Wishing you all a Happy Easter!

Drawing Heaven

Okay I am not really into watching YouTube but a friend passed this to me and this girl is amazing! Unbelievable that she was born into a atheist household.

Hot!

We celebrated Kyle's 31st birthday last week with a week full of yummy food and good times with the whole family. For Kyle's birthday he wanted to take the kids out to a Japanese steakhouse where they cook the food right in front of you. As you can see from the picture it was exciting! Isabella is running for cover, Margaret can't believe her eyes, and Walter (I couldn't quite get him in the picture) loved every bit of the entertainment. Surprisingly they really ate well, from the ginger salad to the fried rice. Their favorite part of the meal was watching mommy and daddy try to catch shrimp in their mouths that was thrown by the cook. Kyle got it on the first try, mommy on try five:)
Thanks to all that helped us celebrate, it was fun!

Happy Birthday to the Sweetest Husband Ever!!!

Happy Birthday Sweetie!!!
We hope that you have the best day ever!
Love you to the moon and back:)

(Boy, it is hard getting this crew organized! How did I ever have a grip on a classroom of twenty-five??? Don't worry honey, Margaret is excited for your birthday, just upset that she didn't get to hold the heart. Making everyone happy is a tough job around here!)

The Gift of an Ordinary Day

Today was a bad day for me. I was literally counting down the minutes until bedtime. I was not feeling well, my kids were demanding this and that, and I had tutoring kids lined up for the day.

As I glanced at the clock it read 7:35 am.

How was I going to make it through this day?

Then I opened my email and a dear friend had sent me this link and it changed my whole attitude and made me realize my life is not hard, I am blessed. All mothers must watch this!!! You will relate to everything this woman says no matter how old your children are.

The woman reading this is the author of the book where this came from. She made me laugh, cry, and cherish each moment that I had today just getting to be a mom.
