Here Comes Peter Cottontail...Easter 2013

Easter picture overload...I've got four kids...it is tough to decide!
We packed up the car and headed to Kansas for some Easter fun with all of our family!  It went by way to fast and felt like a whirlwind blew through town.  We had a blast there are so many traditions here that my kids look forward to every year!
This was our first year dying eggs at Mimi and Papa's new house.  The weather was perfect for some outside dying on their new patio!
She loved do this this year.  I could tell that she really had no memory of it from last.  The first few eggs she seemed weirded out by what we were doing.  As she got the hang of it she couldn't get her hands on those eggs fast enough!
A true Jayhawk fan...even with the loss and seeing her daddy almost go into heart failure, she stayed true to her team and made many KU eggs.  She made a few purple ones too for her Papa, so cute how she whispered it in his ear what she was doing so we wouldn't hear.
These gals totally took over the Bunny Cake this year!  I had no part in it at all!
Looks delicious!
Our annual egg hunt and brunch with Nana and GranStan!
So many fun activities to do here for the kids.

My only child who wanted anything to do with the Easter Bunny.  She adored him and kept running up to give him hugs:)

Focusing while getting instructions for the egg hunt.
These two ended up with the Golden Egg.
Pretty sure Margaret is not going to want my help next year with her hunting.  I sent her towards the golden egg and she just wasn't quite as quick as another little hunter.  When they snagged it up before she got to it she refused to continue.  Once she decided she better go get some eggs, they were gone.  Hard lesson to learn here about stubborness! Thankfully her siblings were willing to share:)
So sad to not get any hunting pictures but these guys are fast!

Great visit with GranNana and GranPapa
 and both of my grandmothers.

Easter just won't be the same if you guys keep growing up like this!  I am going to make you continue to dye eggs, do egg races, and Easter egg hunts even when you are all grown.
Plan on it!
Just sayin!
Love you all to the moon and back!

Shake Your Shamrock!

Our annual St. Paddy's day was a blast!
All 12 of my mom and her siblings were together for the first time in a long time!  This is always a treat because it brings back so many fond memories from my childhood!  We were lucky for two reasons this year...1.) the parade was on a Saturday and 2.) the parade was during our spring break so we were able to get back to Kansas and make the rounds to see lots of missed family and friends!

Rocking it at a game of Headbanz.  Watch out, these girls are tricky!  I thought they were brilliant, then I saw that they were looking at themselves in a reflection of glass.  Cheaters or maybe they really are brilliant?
Hanging with Uncle Ben and cousin Sarge!
 Great GrandPapa!!!

We loved getting to spend time with this little guy!  He is growing up so very fast and we tried to soak as much of him up as we could while we were in town!

March...so far!

March has kept up super busy!
This guy had a great time celebrating his birthday!
Mimi and Papa made it to town to help celebrate!
Sometimes you just gotta have icecream for lunch!  Not normally my style but they asked and sometimes you just have to surprise them...they are still talking about this!  They probably will remember this as one of the days that mommy went crazy!
We hit the Dr. Seuss books hard core this month after celebrating his birthday!
We had an awesome visit from our KC friends.

A fun night out with friends at the bowling alley:)
My crew has been working hard on their swimming!  They have taken lessons throughout the winter and I have seen great progress!
This guy is getting close to lapping the pool!
She is still enjoying her swim team!
Somedays he walks in as Super Man...
 the next day a pirate!
Getting our Rock Chalk on during March Madness!  Surprising how many Jayhawks are in this town with us.  Even though we didn't make it all the way we are proud of our Jayhawks!
Training for a half marathon has never been so much fun!  I am so thankful to have her near to keep me motivated!  This was a 12-mile run through the sleet and wind with the TU Cross Country team running sprints next to us.  This is why I look a little bit more out-of-my-mind than usual:)
Love that my bug had the courage to change up her hair style.
It is hard to be 8 and to try something different.  Love her new "do"!
