Ready, Set, Go

Lately it has been super-crazy-busy here at the Zimmerman household!
We have been loving the nice fall weather and trying to soak up as much of our outside time as possible.

Last weekend Kyle and I ran the Kansas City 15K. This is a new run at Livestrong Stadium.
I had been so excited for this run...that is until the Tuesday before the run when I ran into a door and broke my toe. As soon as it happened I tried to deny the horrifying sound that I heard as my fourth toe went to the left while the rest of my body went to the right. The pain was awful and immediately my toe was twice its size and purple in color. Instead of trying to console my toe, I was mad at it! With lots of elevating, ice, and tape I was able to make it through the run. It all ended well and it was so fun to be able to run with my honey (he rocked it!) on such a beautiful day.
We also hit the Plaza Art Fair last weekend.
We haven't gotten to go for the last couple of years so it was nice to get the kids out and enjoy the fresh air. The art was beautiful, the food was yummy, and the kids had a blast with all of the kid crafts.

This great weekend ended with getting to watch Isabella score her first soccer goal!!! Wish I had a picture of this to share because the look on her face was priceless. We are so proud of you bug, way to be there for your team!
