OUCH!!!!

Look at the goose egg on this guy!!!
He is into ANYTHING and EVERYTHING!!!
My little man managed to pull this off about 15 minutes before we had leave the house to go to Isabella's spring program at preschool.  He pulled down my  Waterford Crystal clock that I got for a wedding present and it knocked him on the noggin.  There was a little blood and a few tears but really he was pretty tough about it compared to my girls.  If this would have happened to them I am sure that I would have had to cancel all of our plans for the next week!
I am quickly learning, boys are BuSy and thinking about ways to rearrange things around here so that he is more safe.

Deanna Rose Farm

Today we made our first visit of the season to the Deanna Rose Farm and it was a hit!  It opens every year on April 1st.  Between crummy weather and stuff going on this was our first chance to get there.  Isabella and Margaret were so excited to show Walter all of the animals today they ran around the place like little tour guides.  The most anticipated event was to see Pipi the cow for the first time since last fall.  This cow is quite an idol at our house.  She was pregnant and had her baby calf last May a couple of days after I had Walter.  This earned her the right to have our pet fish named after her.  While we were visiting today she was out enjoying the sunshine and looking rather large.  One of the volunteers told us that she is expecting again... better her than me:)  This was very exciting and the girls can't wait to watch her grow and grow again!  We were even able to sneak in a picnic lunch!

Feeding the baby goats.
Walter's favorite was watching goats eat out of his sister's hands.

Margaret was upset because this sheep was in the same pen as the baby goats.  She was trying to feed the goats but the sheep (who was larger) just rammed them out of the way with his head.

Hmmmmm...

I sometimes wish I knew what they were thinking....

Soccer Night

Last night we all went to watch Kyle play soccer.  There is a group of guys that he knows that plays every Saturday evening.  He played several times last spring/summer and he is hoping for the same this season.  He realized last night that no matter how good of shape that he is in from running he still gets whipped from 90 minutes of soccer.
We like going to watch because there is a great park near the soccer field and Isabella and Margaret were excited to see their daddy play.  Isabella starts soccer in a few weeks and Kyle has been taking her out to show her some moves.  This was just a good chance for her to see that there are a lot of people chasing after one ball and sometimes people can get hurt.  We will see how this goes:)  This girl can be kind of dramatic when it comes to ouchies!
She has a good kick!
Margaret kept reminding us that we couldn't use our hands on the ball.
"Mommy, sissy, no hands okay!"
Many times I find her just standing like this with her little hands on her hips...
Gee, I wonder who she gets this from?

70 Years of Oz

Crown Center is celebrating the 70 Years of Oz and we went to go check it out!  Isabella watched the Wizard of Oz about a year ago and surprisingly loved it.  At first I was worried about the scary witch, the tornado destroying the house, the munchkins, and the flying monkey's (boy there is a lot to be scared of in this movie!) but she never seemed bothered.  In fact she asked for the movie so that she could watch it at home.  Margaret, on the other hand, is scared of almost anything and hasn't seen the movie yet.
We had a great time going through the hands-on display and best of all it was free:)  My favorite kind of outing!  There was a scary witch though that did scared the heck out of both girls.  We even got to lunch at the famous Fritz's.  This is a fun place to eat where you order your food through a telephone at your table and then a train delivers your food.  We have been there several times but not any that Margaret would remember so it was fun to see her face when the train delivered our food.  Walter almost fell backwards out of his chair watching the trains go back and forth.

Coloring Eggs

After the brunch on Saturday we went to my parent's house to color eggs.  It was such a pretty day outside the kids got to run around and play.  I took my girls down to the little creek that I used to play near when I was little.  It was fun to see because they thought they were on this huge adventure.  They even got to ride around the yard on Papa's lawn mower, which was a huge hit.  Do you think they will still think this is cool in about ten years when we want them to really mow the lawn?  My brother's family was in town too and it was so nice to see all of our kids hanging out.  It was a great Easter but I did miss Kyle, maybe next year!!!

Easter Egg Hunt

On Saturday we had our annual brunch and Easter egg hunt with the Zimmermans.  Kyle was on call all weekend so I packed up the minivan and headed to Topeka with the kids.  We had a great time seeing everyone.  It was a beautiful day for an egg hunt, our best weather yet.  Thanks for such a fun day.  Isabella already asked today how old she was going to be the next time that she got to see the Easter bunny:)

Spaghetti Night

Spaghetti night is kind of a BIG deal at our house and each time we get to feed it to a new addition it is really exciting for us. Kyle makes his Nana's recipe that cooks on the stove for several days and his meatballs are just to die for. In fact he made it for me for our first Valentine's Day meal in 1997 and just stole my heart:) In fact, every year on Valentine's Day we make this spaghetti. So far our three kiddos have loved their first bites of spaghetti. Even last night when we had it I swear Margaret ate more meatballs than some grown men could!!! Here are some snapshots of our little ones and their first spaghetti bites!

Chuck-E-Cheese

Yesterday we ventured out to Chuck-E-Cheese to help celebrate our good friend's birthday, I can't believe he is already five!!!  Isabella has adored him ever since they were babies and it has been so fun to watch them grow together.  What has happened to our babies...I guess they are getting older and so are we!  We had a great time doing something different for a change.  The weather here is still not that great and we are really running out of fun things to do around the house.  Here are some shots of our fun day...
Yummy Pizza!!!

This is the best shot I could get of the girls together.
My only child yet to get within 12 feet of Chuck-E-Cheese:)
We are so proud!!!
